Music Matterz, LLC is dedicated to broadening awareness of the unique benefits of music and creative arts therapies, and to provide quality music therapy and music education services to the overall community at large.


Debbie Sipos, MT-BC, NMT is a Board Certified Music Therapist, with a specialty credential in Neurologic Music Therapy.  Outside of her private practice, Debbie is a clinician at the California State University, Northridge Music Therapy Wellness Clinic, and provides music therapy services for local assisted living facilities, and the special education department of the Ventura County Office of Education.  Debbie was formerly a music educator in the Conejo Valley Unified and Oak Park Unified School Districts since 1995.


In 2004 -2005 Deborah was selected as the California Young Mother of the Year, and then went on to earn the coveted title of National Young Mother of the Year from American Mothers Inc.  Debbie also received the distinguished 2005 Conejo/Las Virgines Future Foundation CLvFFie Award for Community Service. She has served in various positions on the Board of Directors of American Mothers Inc., as a volunteer at Ride-On Therapeutic Equestrian Center, and is a life member of Hadassah. Debbie has been a member of VCAC (The Ventura County Arts Council), CMEA (California Association for Music Education), NAfME (The National Association for Music Education), and AMTA (American Music Therapy Association).


 Debbie returned to California State University, Northride in 2014 to earn her 2nd Bachelorette in Music Therapy. and received her certification from the UCLArts and Healing - SEA (Social Emotional Arts) Program.  In March 2015, Debbie attended the 59th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations, participating in cross panels on human trafficking, global genocide, human rights advocacy, and domestic violence, during which she promoted the use of creative arts and music therapy as an effective form of therapeutic intervention for survivors of trauma.


  Deborah has received numerous honors for her service to the community, which include recognition by the Conejo Valley Unified School District, the Ventura County Board of Supervisors, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the California Senate, First Lady of California Maria Shriver, U. S. Senator Diane Feinstein, and the United States Congress, to name a few.  Most recently Debbie was the recipient of the Marilyn N. Hankins Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement in 2016, the Lola Aguado-Sadlo Memorial Scholarship, (awarded to the top music therapy student at CSUN) in 2017, and took 3rd place in the CSUN 2017 Bull Ring Entrepreneurial Competition as the Co-Founder, PR Manager, and Director of Research and Development of Germ 3 Solutions, (a company she developed with her son, dedicated to reducing the spread of infectious disease).


Debbie completed her clinical fieldwork and internship at Aegis Assisted Living in Granada Hills, CA, graduated with her 2nd BA in Music Therapy from CSUN in December 2017, and received her neurologic music therapy certification from the R.F. Unkefer Academy for Neurologic Music Therapy in 2018.  Debbie is an accomplished business-woman/entrepreneur, artist, musician, teacher, advocate, motivational speaker, author and composer who is devoted to her family and to using music to make a difference in the lives of others.
